"A Stroke of Luck" is a large audio/visual reflection on the experience of having a stroke, and the subsequent recovery. Still photos, MRI images, audio conversations, music, and video are all combined in predictive and generative ways (decisions are left to an algorithm that I programmed into the sequence).
"Sketch/Sketch" is a short project that explores visual narrative, audio narrative, and how they can relate. It was something I started in January, as I became more curious about how visual artists approach their work, specifically, how do they establish relationships of objects on their field of work. After the visual piece, I would immediately headed into my studio and began creating companion audio works. For both media, the effort was relatively spontaneous and without any pre-planning (save that I was intending to do something). The effort became more about letting things happen, rather than doing.
