"So Much I Want to Do" is a generative audio/video work built in Max 7. It runs independently, and creates both the video and audio on its own, within the parameters that I have set. There is interaction between the two elements, meaning, at some points the audio modulates the video, and vice versa. Eventually I'll have it streaming live, when we get broadband here is the willywacks. For the moment, there is a pre-recorded excerpt.
An excerpt from "Currents"(2016), recently performed at the Kelpie Gallery in South Thomaston, Maine. "Currents" features video, generative music, and improvisation all working interactively with one another.
OPUS 2 (2016)
"opus 2" (below) is an experiment in both generative video and audio. X and Y coordinates are generated from a sample and hold of white noise. The coordinates are then mapped to a music grid with corresponding pitches. Rhythms are determined by the speed of the oscillators triggering the sample/hold. Colors are governed by three low frequency oscillators controlling the red, green, and blue levels. I'd like so stream this as well, once we get past the broadband thing...
A river runs through it (2015)
"A River Runs Through It" (2015) was created for the "Wet Paint on the Weskeag" fundraiser for the Georges River Land Trust. I used recordings of the river to build a soundscape over which Michael Whitehead played processed trumpet.
